Pull up your calendar and get ready to write. SEVERAL important things are happening between now and March 19. Shown in priority order.
Livable Tarrytowns asked the public to identify locations with traffic safety problems. This meeting will cover what people said and come up with priorities to move forward on.

Beekman Ale House
92 Beekman, Sleepy Hollow
(Everyone welcome)
At this workshop, tell the team what safety problems you experience on Brodway and what would make you feel safe using this crucial corridor. The number one talking point we hope everyone delivers is "the DOT needs to use international best practices."
(FYI, the DOT / consultants try to brush that off, saying that they "have to follow American standards." In reality, Dutch road designs fit within the engineering guidelines used in the USA.)
Here's what international best practices look like: https://biketarrytown.org/presentations/route-9-complete-streets_make-it-great_dot_2023-06-20.pdf
The group will be discussing strategies the Village can take to reduce carbon emissions and adapt for coming changes.
