The 26th NYC Bicycle Film Festival is happening at the end of this month, from Thursday to Sunday. Sunday's program is a full day of 12 shorts and 4 features about adventures, friends, and challenges. Let's go to NYC and make a day of it together.

It's a long day. You don't have to stay for the whole thing. During breaks between the four programs, we can go out to eat.
Buying tickets in advance is recommended; they have sold out in the past. https://btt.boldtypetickets.com/events/186927112/bicycle-film-festival-new-york-2026
Give us a heads up if you plan on coming, so we know to keep an eye out for you. Feel free to join us at the last minute if that's how it plays out.
Or at least "a week of driving less," if you can. And (we're not sure if this is easier or harder) "a week of getting our public officials to make traveling easier for people who can't drive."
In Sleepy Hollow 26% of households don't have access to a vehicle, while 39% have access to one vehicle.[1] Similarly, in the USA, "1/3 of the population are nondrivers: disabled people who cannot drive, people who can’t afford a vehicle or gas, have suspended licenses or lack documentation to get a license, people who are too young to drive, choose not to drive or who have aged out of driving."[2]
Everyone needs convenient, safe, comfortable access to our villages and region, not just folks with cars. So groups and individuals around the country are stepping up during October 1 - 8, the dates of this year's Week Without Driving.

Livable Tarrytowns is organizing a group bus ride for this year's Week Without Driving event. We are gathering friends, advocates, elected officials, and candidates to experience riding the Route 13 bus.
The main goal is make village officials raise awareness of the Route 13 bus' existence, where it goes, issues with it (and fixes), and know about the County's plans for boosting service.
