Demand Safe, 24/7 Access to the Tappan Zee / Cuomo Bridge

The new Tappan Zee Bridge (officially the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge) will have a "Shared Use Path" for walking, biking, etc. Unfortunately, the State's plan is unsafe, and intends to close the path overnight.

Your particpation today makes a difference. The project is going out to bid this month.

• are concerned about designs for the Cuomo Bridge's path in South Nyack
• don't want gates across the paths
• want "yield to pedestrian" signs to replace "dismount" signs
• want yield signs for people driving
• want a raised intersection at Clinton Ave
• want 24/7 access

It's important to ask your State Senator, Assembly Member, County Executive, Mayor and Town Supervisor to do the same. These folks carry weight with the Thruway and Governor.
